The recent arrests were great news, but we all need to remain vigilant. In case you missed this item in one of Capt. O’Leary’s recent updates: A Merced Manor District couple was robbed of their wallet and purse at gun point by two suspects at Moultrie and Cortland at 12:10am.
A police office I asked about this ongoing wave of gunpoint street crime told me that several crews are running around the city robbing people in this way. And this particular style of crime appears to be "fad-ish" among younger criminals.
The upshot is that our neighborhood is not alone in seeing this, the police are trying to take steps to stop the wave, and we all have to be very careful in walking around our neighborhood — particularly as soon as the sun goes down.

As for the future war(s), I seem to remember something about Senator Clinton approving the Kyl-Lierbman amendment last fall. This amendment ascertains that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp is essentially a terrorist organization and may be treated as such should any potential conflict arise. (in so many words
